Have you ever looked at the trees in your neighborhood and noticed that they look completely different at different times of the year? That's because we have four seasons! Each season lasts for three months and they happen every year.

The first season is called winter. Winter starts in December and ends in March. During this time, it gets very cold outside and it sometimes even snows! Many animals hibernate during the winter, meaning they sleep through most of it because it's too cold for them to be outside.

Next comes spring, which starts in March and ends in June. Spring is when the weather starts to get warmer and flowers start to bloom. You might see birds chirping and building nests in the trees around you. This is also the time when baby animals are born.

Summer is the third season and it starts in June and ends in September. During the summer, it's very hot and sunny outside. You might go to the beach, the pool, or on a family vacation. This is also the time when many fruits and vegetables are ripe, like strawberries and watermelon.

Last but not least, there's fall, which starts in September and ends in December. Fall is when the leaves on the trees start to change colors and fall off. You might go apple picking or pumpkin picking during this time. It's also a time for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

So, to sum it up, we have four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and fall. Each season lasts for three months and they happen every year. In winter, it's cold and sometimes snowy. In spring, flowers and animals are born. Summer is hot and sunny, while fall is a time for harvesting and celebrating holidays.
